Fuck me mate, how long have you been posting on here?

This is the most self-hating football site on the whole information super interweb. I fully expected a bundle of cunts saying Carroll's goal was a fluke and some random goal by Kane or Ali was much better.

I'm actually genuinely surprised this fred is so onside with Carroll's MAGNIFICENT goal- although a poster keeps calling him a 'Durham bumper' which I presume he thinks gets funnier every time he says it. Almost as funny as calling the ground the 'hotpoint stadium', a 'joke' that never seems to get old.

Sold, I've always liked you but for fuck sake work on a bit of new material will you?

As for Carroll, even if he'd not scored I still would have had that down as one of his best games for us. I didn't know he had such blistering pace and his pressing the ball was superb to watch. He had the Palace defence on toast and hit a ball towards goal with such venom just before his goal that I watched the player he smashed against spend the next ten minutes recovering from it.

He was a monster.

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
You're asking a bunch of WHU supporters whose goal is better, a gooner's or one of ours mmmmmmmmm

for the record that Carroll goal won't be bettered by a WH player in the next 10 years

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Carrolls because of the power of contact and the beautiful way it rocketed into the top corner. The only sweeter one I can think of is Trevor Sinclair, Oh, and Rooney shinned his (the flukey git).

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Perfect timing at take off, watching the ball all the way onto the laces, sweetest connection sending the ball rocketing into the top corner of the net versus.....
Mistimed run, got ahead of the ball, flap a heel at it see what happens.

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Carroll,

Measured versus instinctive. Giroud had no idea what he was doing.

Fuckin both great Goals, At work today even the Arse fans were saying how good a goal Andy's was ..

The way he caught it was sweet, but it's the fuckin power in it

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Haven't even seen Giroud's. So I am going to just say Carroll.

Not to mention the impressive acrobatics from a big lad who lands with the impact of a grand piano dropped from the top of a multi-storey carpark.

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Carroll all day long. Giroud's was a happy fluke, Carroll meant his shot to do exactly what it did.

TM - it wasn't an overhead kick, unless you were watching it at an angle of 90°. It was a scissor kick.

Carroll's all day long...

Purist v element of luck

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
No contest really Giroud's was a fluke. It's like when Antonio scored a headed goal while lying on the floor claiming a penalty.

Sven Roeder 9:19 Mon Jan 16
Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Monday Night Football on SS1 finally getting around to Carroll's goal after 45 mins of BIG TEAMS

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
I think Giroud gave it away when he scored a few days later at Bournemouth & did a little dance flicking his heels up.
He had been watching Morecambe & Wise over Christmas on tv.

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Car lol all the way. Giroud was about luck, fair play for giving it a go though. Carroll's timing, athleticism and power was immense for a man of his size.

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Manc cunts all over BBC social media kept going on that it wasn't as good as Rooney's against Man City because it wasn't in as important a match as a Manchester Derby at the top of the table. Utterly deluded. Any objective view clearly favours Carroll's perfectly executed volley over the granny bothering cunts jammy shinner.

I really do detest Man U's cunt fans.

As said on the match thread, it was actually better than Pele's in Escape to Victory

Mikhetarians was way off side too....but cos its man u it not only counted but will prob get voted Goal of the season.

Northern Sold 7:56 Mon Jan 16
Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Agree with that Rol.... no way did Giroud mean that and I think he even said so after that he got lucky... the Durham Bumpers buddy' was probably one of the cleanest connections you will ever see... have to say I never thought he had something as good as that in his locker
